About
Hello! I am Rae, a Registered Psychologist, and owner of Nest Psychology.
Nest Psychology grew from my deeply felt desire to provide quality, effective, and modern psychological services to adults.
I believe the cornerstone of counselling success is a strong therapeutic relationship. This starts by creating a warm, welcoming, and safe space where you can freely be yourself. Throughout the counselling process, I work to maintain a collaborative approach, where you are invited to have an active role in your counselling. Additionally, I aim to be personable and responsive to your shifting needs.
I understand that life can be challenging. During these tough times, we may lose our sense of self or feel overwhelmed, stuck, or even lost. Whether your concerns feel big or small, I can help by accessing your inherent strengths. Through this process, empower you to face your obstacles, as well as gain new skills and insights. It is my aim to guide my clients in self discovery, lessen distress, and live a more satisfying, meaningful life. You can learn more about the many benefits of therapy here.

Life outside of Practice
Outside of my work as a Registered Psychologist, I enjoy quiet time by reading fiction, memoirs, and stories about lived experience. I aim to be active by gardening, practicing yin yoga, and going for walks with my Moyen Poodle, Emma. I very much enjoy having dinners with friends while exploring the many new and exciting restaurants the city of Calgary has to offer. Finally, when the opportunity arises, I take pleasure in traveling with my husband and teenage son.
